The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) is the umbrella association of the nine German social accident insurance institutions for trade and industry and the 24 German social accident insurance institutions for the public sector in Germany.
The institutions represent approximately 65 million insured individuals in around four million companies, providing prevention measures in the businesses, rehabilitation and compensation in the event of occupational or commuting accidents and occupational diseases and carrying out a wide range of other challenging tasks in areas such as administration, research, education and training. Furthermore, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) is an association that advocates for the interests of statutory accident insurance. The variety of tasks is reflected by our diverse team of employees: Around 1,200 people from different professions work for the German Social Accident Insurance at 11 locations in Germany.
