The testing and certification body of the expert committee foodstuffs industry is an accredited notified body by the European Union under the notified body number 0556. The head office is Mannheim. Test laboratory sites are located in Mannheim and Mainz. Furthermore, there are approximately 10 external offices with regional contact persons.
Meat processing machines, protection against stabs and cuts (PSA) and large-scale catering establishment are especially tested by the test laboratory Mainz.
The emphasis of testing in the test laboratory Mannheim is put on packaging- and other foodstuff machines, large kitchen heating device as well as refrigerating and freezing systems.
Bowling centers and aspects like hygiene, ergonomics and noise can be tested and certificated besides testing of devices and equipment.
Flue gas measurements, EMF – measurements, ip – testing of components and interface planning on devices are offered too. Producer as well as operators can be trained and be supported in finding causes in the framework of accident analysis.
