Declaration on Accessibility

The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health of the German Social Accident Insurance (IFA) makes every effort to ensure that its website is accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Disability Discrimination and General Equal Treatment Act (BGG) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

This accessibility declaration (last amended: 10 January 2025) applies to the version of this website currently available on the Internet (www.dguv.de/ifa).

Compliance status

The accessibility requirements arise from Sections 3 (1) to (4) and 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was adopted pursuant to Section 12d of the BGG.

Review of compliance with the requirements is based on an internal assessment conducted on 10 January 2025.

Owing to the amendments and testing currently in progress, this software is not accessible in accordance with the requirements stated above.

We are working on the processes necessary for continual improvement of the digital accessibility of the information provided by the German Social Accident Insurance.

What parts are not accessible?

  • Use of the software is not accessible: it cannot as yet be used fully independent of the device - the application cannot be used solely by means of the keyboard. Not all interactive elements are focusable and labelled.
  • The accessibility statement is not yet available in German easy language.
  • The accessibility statement is not yet available in German sign language.
