(05.12.2023) This is what the General Assembly of the umbrella organisation of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions, the DGUV, demands in a resolution. The self-administration of the statutory accident insurance is thus opposed to any form of violence against fire and rescue service personnel.
(20.09.2023) The number of accidents on the way to work increased in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period the year before. This is shown by preliminary figures from the German social accident insurance institutions. According to these, 90,647 reportable commuting accidents occurred from the beginning of the year to the end of June - an increase of 14.4 per cent.
This new booklet contains an overview of extent and current development of key figures. It includes among other things information on the number of member companies, hours worked and persons insured. There is also data on reportable and fatal accidents at work and on the way to and from work given as well as new accident pensions. A list of all occupational diseases (OD) with current figures is included as well.
(12.07.2022) Since the beginning of the pandemic, the social accident insurance institutions Berufsgenossenschaften (BG) and Unfallkassen (UK) have received more than 350,000 reports of suspected occupational disease (OCD) related to COVID-19.
(14.09.2021) The German Social accident insurance institutions for trade and industry and the German social accident insurance institutions for the public sector have recognised over 100,000 cases of COVID-19 as occupational illnesses since the beginning of the pandemic up to and including August 2021. In addition, there have been over 10,000 instances in which a case of COVID-19 was recognised as an accident at work or school.
